Collection of Silver and White Metal Thimbles including:
1. James Fenton. Birmingham 1923. Punched top with green decorative band.
2. James Fenton. Birmingham 1900. Design of moons around base. Waffle top. Marked 'R D 281980'
3. American Waite Thresher Co. Rhode Island Thimble. Panelled rim. Sterling silver mark and the "thimble in star" mark inside dome. Believed to be c.1890.
4. Charles Horner Sterling Silver Thimble with Princess May Top. Chester 1901. Broad decorated band and large floral decoration on dome.
5. Lily of the valley on rim. Engraved "Sallie" on cartouche. Inside dome marked sterling and M-D visible, presumed to be of Ketcham & McDougall.
6. Panelled with decoration on alternate panels. Marked inside dome sterling silver and with Simon Bros shield.
7. Sterling Silver James Swann & Sons Thimble - 1977 The assay mark appears to be that of London 1977 (leopard's head, lion, C) but the maker's mark, James Swann & Sons of Birmingham.
8. Dorcas thimble marked 'Pat G' or 'Pat C'.
9. White metal with band of rose sprays at base.
10. White metal. Shield pattern on rim. Edge faceted.
11. Marked 935 silver. Purple stone top. Decorative band at base.
