A Pinxton boat-shaped sucrier, painted with pink roses, green leaves and gilt foliage, gilt line borders, 12.5cm high, 19cm wide, c. 1800; another, painted in carmine and gilt, 12.5cm high, 19cm wide, c. 1800, [2]

For the first sucrier, see a teacup and saucer of the same pattern: Gent, The Patterns and Shapes of the Pinxton China Factory 1796 - 1813, 1996, page 85, fig. 72; pattern 361, page 76, is identical to this unnumbered pattern but for the latter having rose hips.

More Information

Rosebud sucrier good, some minor rubbing to the gilding, needs a light clean. The other has a hairline crack, rubbing and minor scratches.
