Second, very rare Froben edition (third overall edition, after the Princeps Giunta of 1541 and the first Froben of 1542. 8 parts and index in 5 volumes.
Part one; [20], 280 columns, [10], 1316 columns. Part two/three: 340 columns, [1], 756 columns. Part four/five: [1], 844 columns, [1], 1124 columns. Part six/seven: [1], 1110 columns, [1], 294 columns. Part eight: 430 columns, [352p].
Condition: general browning and occasional marking, patches of staining - manuscript annotation in parts. Otherwise, an excellent example. Folio, contemporary stamped pigskin over wooden boards dated 1555 with initials ISM. 395mm x 270mm.
