1844 Halfcrown, Victoria. Obv. young head with plain fillets and no WW on truncation, 4's with serifs in date, Rev. crowned square topped shield. Some light obverse hairlines from an old wipe does not detract from a high quality example; aEF perhaps better in places. Well struck with plentiful lustre. Scarce at this level. [ESC 677, Bull 2720, S.3888]
