European Dark Ages, zoomorphic terminal. Circa 7th-9th century CE. Copper-alloy, 9.3g. 35mm. A bronze terminal in the form of a stylised fox's head with long snout and pointed ears. Punched annulets and dots make up the facial features and fur.
