1899 QSA 5 clasps Paardeberg, Relief of Kimberley, Johannesburg, Rhodesia, Transvaal neatly renamed No 3776 Private W. Sarney 6th Dragoon Guards, 1902 KSA both clasps neatly renamed to No 32242 Coy Sergeant Major W.S. Sarney, 1914-15 Star yo 6760 Q.M. Sjt W.S. Sarney Dorset R., BWM and Victory Medal with MID oakleaf to 2 Lieut W.S. Sarney, 1911 Delhi Durbar Medal engraved to 8249 Cpl. W. S. Sarney, Madras V. Guards and Belgian Military Decoration (Leopold II) gilt with distinguished service ribbon, polished, fine or better, swing mounted (missing pin) in Baldwin & sons box.
William Samuel Sarney served in Boer War with 6th Dragoons, 85th Coy Rough Riders and Base Coy IY, does not appear to have been issued Johannesburg and Rhodesia clasps, landed France with 6th Bn Dorsets 13/7/15, commissioned into 7th Bn East Surrey Regt 4/8/17, MID and Belgian award unconfirmed. With copied MIC, Boer war extract and 2 pages of IY papers. Ex-DNW Sep 2015. (See photo) (R)
