TWO FIRST WORLD PAIRS TO THE R.A.F.
A Great War pair comprising War and Victory medal named to '52088 1.A.M. T.E.H. Houghton R.A.F.' Houghton transferred into the Royal Air Force from the British Army, he enlisted as a civilian into the Royal Flying Corps after December 1916. He is recorded as having worked as Vulcaniser. With a similar pair named to '122269 3AM J. Woufor RAF' Who enlisted at Canterbury on the 17th January 1918, he worked as a fitter, he is recorded as a 'Deserter from his Majesty's Service' from Blandford on 9th October 1918.
