A SILVER CIGARETTE BOX AND A CASED VANITY SET, the rectangular cigarette box with an engine turned pattern and engraved cartouche to the lid, personal engraving to the front side reads ‘Presented to Fred Manning, on his retirement from his Cumbernauld and Strathleven Management Colleagues, Burroughs Machines Ltd, 12.12.1969’, hallmarked ‘John Rose’ Birmingham 1968, together with a cased vanity set, comprising of two clothes brushes and a comb, each decorated with an engine turned pattern with vacant cartouches and hallmarks for 'Henry Matthews' Birmingham 1926, encased in their original fitted box, also with a wooden and silver decorated cigarette case, displaying a westie dog to the front, engraved ‘Budapest 26 VII -21 VIII 1935’, a polished white metal brush engraved ‘REB’ and stamped ‘Sterling’ (condition report: the cigarette box would benefit from a gentle clean and polish, overall condition good, the vanity set is in overall very good condition, box opens and closes with ease)
