An early 19c eight day longcase clock, the 30cm painted dial unsigned and having date, seconds and moon phase indicators. The corners are painted with rural buildings and the dial has Roman numerals and unmatched steel hands. The four pillar movement has anchor escapement is rack striking on a bell. It is contained in an oak and mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and freestanding fluted columns flanking the dial. the trunk door is rectangular and is flanked by fluted quarter columns and the base has an inlaid circle of mahogany and a cut out plinth. The clock stands 223cm tall overall.
There is a split to the right hand side of the hood and base. Slight veneer loss to base front panel. Dial has some chipping to background. Movement seems complete but needs cleaning.
