A pair of 19th century (in earlier style) oversized amber-coloured goblets (one with cover); each with individually decorated and enamelled elaborate armorial, one entitled 'Labore' and other armorial entitled 'Vi et armis' (by force and arms), each with a hollow stem and raised on spreading circular foot. The Vendor states that the goblets were given as a wedding present to her great grandparents (William Charles Heaton-Armstrong) and his bride Bertha by the King and Queen of Hanover in 1885 (goblet with cover 48cm high, feet 14.5cm and 15cm diameter)
