A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 265741Sjt J.F. Swain Linc R. John Francis Swain was husband to Mrs M. Swain of 94 St Michaels Avenue, Melton Road, Leicester. He served with the 1st/4th and 1st/5th Battalions of the Leicester Regiment, he died on the 21st August 1918 and is buried at Fouquieres Churchyard Cemetery, his headstone reads 'Until the Resurrection Morn', he was 34 years old. *CR Surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
