See further images.
Oil on board as catalogued.
We feel the canvas square applied to the central area of the panel placed perhaps to strengthen the timber and avoid cracking a paper label (or remains of) have then been applied to the canvas.
The panel is then framed in slim pine sticks.
It would benefit from a professional clean.
The vendor recalls buying this in France, mainly for the frame, which he re-used.
