Rare 1905 'Golf Open Championship" Presentation Silver Pocket Watch won by James Braid - high quality silver stamped 935 Swiss made and engraved to the inside hinged back plate "Golf Open Championship 1905-Presented by James Carter & Co., Seedsmen to His Majesty The King - 237, 238 High Holborn London" - although the watch comes with no letter of provenance I think we can assume that this watch was given to the winner James Braid Golf Professional at Walton Heath Golf Club when he won The Open for the 2nd time.
