Late 19th century Crown Derby imari part tea-service for four on tray, with printed crowned D marks, impressed marks, pattern 198, printed, painted and gilt with Islamic style lappet borders alternating with chinoiserie flower-sprays, comprising: an oval teapot and cover, a milk-jug, an oval two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, four cups and saucers and a rectangular two-handled tray, 46cm wide, together with four later Royal Crown Derby imari coffee-cups and saucers
Teapot with small chip and short stained hairline crack to rim, the interior with some stained crazing, with a firing crack issuing a hairline crack around handle. Teapot measures 22.5cm wide x 13cm high. The sugar-bowl with rim chip, the rim chipped and cracked, with stained hairline crack. Two cups with hairline cracks. Cups measure 5.8cm high The saucers are 12.2cm diam. Tray with some glaze scratching at edge of well. Some slight rubbing and wear overall. One of the other cups has a short stained hairline crack to base. Minor wear to the other items.
