Group mounted as worn - 1915 Star Trio (Commr W L Allen RN) (pair named Capt W L Allen RN), 1902 Coronation Medal (silver), Russian Order of St Stanislaus (gold and enamel), French Legion of Honour + Certificate. With matching miniatures. Promoted to Captain for his services at Jutland aboard HMS "Broke". L/G 15 Sept 1916 Walter Lingen Allen 'HMS Broke was very badly damaged and casualties very great, but the morale seems to have been unshaken and the ship was successfully steamed back to port'. Mentioned In Despatches Certificate 15 Sept 1916, and as a Private 8 June 1943 with the 3rd Herefordshire Home Guard. Coronation Medal confirmed to roll. Lot also includes his telescope engraved '1st Admiralty Prize, Seamanship Mt W L Allen HMS Britannia July 1892'.
