Provenance: From the estate of a family descendant of the surname Bishop, Sheffield.
An Irish family said to have fled Ireland during The Great Famine of 1845–1852, some immigrating to Pickering and Liverpool, then later to Wakefield for the wool industry, then Sheffield (Bramhall Lane) to work in the steel industry, eventually residing in Handsworth.
A marriage took place with names Bishop & Westrop. C.1900.
