A SECOND WORLD WAR GROUP OF FIVE TO THE ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS AND ROYAL OBSERVER CORPS WITH RELATED EPHEMERA AND PHOTOGRAPHS. A Second World War and later group of five comprising 1939-45 and France and Germany Stars, Defence and War Medal, all unnamed as issued and an Elizabeth II Royal Observer Corps Medal named to Observer L.H. Broster. Mounted court style as worn. Leslie Herbert's Certified Copy of Attestation is included, he attested for seven years with the Royal Welch Fusiliers on the 1st July 1932. Born on the 9th May 1913, a resident of Birkenhead, Cheshire, the collection of ephemera with this lot includes a photograph of the 1st Birkenhead scout troop, from the war there are copies of the 'Yorkshire pud' the magazine of the 7th Bn Duke of Wellington's Regiment, copies of the 'Polar Bear' magazine. Photographs post-war show groups of members of the Civil Defence Corps. For this recipients Father's Great War medals see lot number 1250.
