A Victorian silver plated fiddle pattern part cutlery service, the handles engraved with an armorial crest of a stag for the Irish family Hoare of Annabella, comprising twelve large table spoons, 23cm, six slightly smaller table spoons, 21.5cm, eighteen dessert spoons, 17.5cm, one large ladle, 33cm, two sauce ladles, 19cm, two serving spoons, 32.5cm, twenty four large forks, 21cm, twenty four smaller forks, 17.5cm, fifteen teaspoons by two makers, four mustard spoons and one sauce spoon, together with one fish knife in bead pattern engraved with stag crest, London RJS, all contained within a Victorian metal bound mahogany silver chest, 57 by 45.5 by 55cm high. (110) Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
