A Chinese jade belt hook, Qing Dynasty, late 19th/early 20th century. The shaft with a chilong clasping a lingzhi in its mouth and confronting a dragons head, the underside with circular button, length 9.7cm, width 2cm, depth 2cm. Private collection of a Parisian lady (1876-1964), whence by family descent to the present South West Cornwall vendor. Perfect and unrestored but for one tiniest of chips
