A nameplate, SIR MELIAGRANCE, from a Southern Railway N15 King Arthur Class 4-6-0 No 452 built at Eastleigh in July 1925 and named after a knight of the round table in Arthurian Legend, becoming BR 30452. A long time Salisbury engine, it was withdrawn from there in August 1959 and cut up at Eastleigh Works. Cast brass, length 52¼", the front repainted with the usual knocks and marking from working life visible, the back stamped 452. (Postage Band: N/A)
