SCRAPBOOK. A late Victorian scrapbook concerning (and possibly compiled by) the minaturist Gertrude Massey. Rather poor boards but internally fascinating in terms of cuttings and correspondence from equerries/secretaries of the Victorian royal family. The Queen gets a mention as does the Prince of Wales. Internally clean. Cuttings from various magazines (reviews, notices, announcements etc.). One letter mentions (1899?) that the Queen was impressed by the portrait of a dog sent to her, but would return it and commission Mrs Massey to do one of her own favourite pets.
