Royal Mint 1902 Cased proof coin set including Maundy A bright proof 1902 Royal Mint set of five coins from 6d to crown plus gold half sovereign, sovereign, £2 and £5 coins. Also includes Maundy set of four coins, silver coins have attractive matt proof frosting, case in very good condition. The coins were from a private collector in Penzance. The gold coins are described as follows: £5 obverse, a few minor scratches, the deepest being at the base of the neck. The reverse has a few pits in the background above both prancing legs of the horse. £2 obverse, a few pits on the neck area. The reverse has a few pits beneath and to the left of the tail. £1 obverse, very good condition. The reverse has small scratch above upper horse's prancing leg. 1/2 sovereign, both sides, very good condition. Silver coins all have some attractive frosting remaining. No edge knocks or scratches are present.
