A pair of Chinese Famille rose vases, the neck painted with a band of ruyi heads above a shoulder of bladed leaves, the body with blossoming peony, chrysanthemum, birds and insects, above a blue lappet and key banded base, with gilt rim, shoulder and foot, the underside with pseudo six character Qianlong seal mark, 23cm
Gilding partially erased on both vases. Some enamel flowerheads erased. Some surface scratches to the glaze. One vase with vertical 3.5cm glaze crack, located just beneath the bird in flight and terminating on the flowerhead below. not visible on the interior. Otherwise, there are no further obvious signs of any chips, cracks or restorations.
