A FINE 19TH CENTURY 12 BORE SPORTING GUN BY GEORGE GIBBS OF BRISTOL. With twin 72cm damascus barrels, approximately 11 bore, indistinctly marked to the central rib, muzzle loading with ramrod below. The percussion firing action with twin 'fish-head' hammers and engraved lock plates decorated with hunting dogs and game birds within scrolling borders, signed George Gibbs. With twin triggers and decorative trigger guard, numbered 781, the stock with vacant cartouche and engraved butt plate. 113cm overall.
