The Jaguar S-Type debuted at the 1998 Birmingham Motor Show and was marketed between 1999 and 2008, reviving the name of the company's 1963-66 S-Type. Early S-Types were produced between 1999 and 2002 are distinguished by a U-shaped centre console. The traditional Leaping Jaguar was optional even though it is approved by the US and EU standards and breaks away in the case of an accident. Subsequent models have the Jaguar logo incorporated within the radiator grille and a more traditional 'looped' styling for the centre console.

In 2003 the S-type was given a six-speed, automatic ZF transmission as well as a revised 3.0-litre V6 engine with 235 hp The 2003 model featured a revised dash, centre console, and a grille with the Jaguar badge to give the vehicle a more Jaguar-like appearance. A minor facelift on the 2005 model year featured redesigned front and rear aprons, a slightly modified grille, remodeled rear light clusters, an aluminium bonnet, and a new 2.7-litre V6 diesel engine with 207 hp The windscreen washer jets were incorporated into the windscreen wiper arms.

This Jaguar S-Type was ordered specifically in British Racing Green, completely colour coded with the exception of the chrome mesh grille. Included were sport body styling, Jaguar logo mud flaps, 18" BBS road wheels, black sport leather interior, Alpine audio system, Jaguar rubber floor mats, dark wood veneer finish, and auto dim glass. To complete the package the car came with the manual gearbox option.

The coachwork presents very well with the odd age related stone chip as would be expected. However, the car does look fabulous, especially with respect to the colour coded alloy wheels. The leather interior and woodwork are also in very good order and invites you into its luxurious office.

The car has had 4 former keepers, and has approximately 87,000 miles recorded. There are seven stamps within the history, with a most recent service at 83,910 miles. The original documentation is present including the UK V5 registration document. The car has 2 keys together with the original Jaguar key rings. The car has benefitted from some recent mechanical work that includes brake discs and pads, two oxygen sensors and a tyre valve. Invoice supplied and an MoT test certificate valid until 2nd July 2021.
