Two early 20th century violins, comprising one bearing label 'Antonius & Hieronym Fr. A.. Cremonen. Andrex fil. F....' and a 'Antonius Braun' repair label dated 1920, with split back with ebonised inlays, body 14" long, overall length 23", together with a violin, without label, main body 13 1/4", 22" overall, both a/f, both with associated hard cases. (2)

Provenance: from the family of Gabor Miklossy, a highly regarded artist, trained musician and collector.

Both labels worn, labelled violin with loose sound post, without tuning pegs, unlabelled violin heavily scuffed, with crack to is neck, repair to its waist.
