The mount shows a degree of staining in a vertical line 2.5cm wide approximately a third of the way into the picture. There is further evidence of staining to the picture itself (much less pronounced) in a vertical line two thirds of the way into the picture. It would appear that the mount has been rotated 180 degrees relative to the picture at some point, and that the staining is related to a 5mm gap in the two pieces making up the wooden back panel corresponding to the one third / two third split.
