A Peruvian embossed white metal ladies stirrup, 18th/19th century. Of slipper form, decorated with flowers, scrolling foliage and inset with faceted coloured glass stones. These stirrups were typically made singularly and not as a pair due to the women riding side-saddle.
Condition report: Some age related wear as illustrated. 21 cm length, 10.5 cm width.
