Provenance: 1st: 1) Margaret Maxwell (née King; d. 1766), first wife of Barry Maxwell (1723-1800), later Baron and then the Earl of Farnham, of County Cavan, Ireland; her ink MS ownership inscriptions to each title-page; 2) by descent to Lord Farnham; their baronial bookplate of c. 1825 to each pastedown; 3) J. Hadfield, 20th century pictorial bookplate to each pastedown.
