1894 Queen Victoria 'Bun Head' bronze penny: the final issue of this type (S 3954). Obverse: type 12 youthful laureate bust facing left with 'VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:' around. The following year, this bust was replaced on Pennies with the so-called 'Old Head'. Reverse: type N thinner Britannia holding a trident and a shield, a ship to her right and a lighthouse to her left. The words 'ONE PENNY' appear above, and the date (1894) is shown below. Edge: plain. Weight: 9.33g. Diameter: 30.8mm. Mintage: 3,883,000. Grade: GEF - Good Extremely Fine with some mint lustre.
