A late Victorian Bowie knife, by G Wostenholm, the heavy clipped back blade 9½” marked “G. WOSTENHOLM & SON, WASHINGTON WORKS”, eagle mark, “I*XL”, “The Real I*XL knife” in banner, and “THE HUNTERS COMPANION”, the ricasso marked “G. WOSTENHOLM & SON, WASHINGTON WORKS” and “None are Genuine but those marked I*XL”; staghorn hilt with polished steel pommel cap, ferrule, and cross guard with disc finials, in its later custom made tooled red leather sheath with white metal chape and locket. GC (the blade slightly worn and polished). £500-800
