A box of assorted track maintenance photographs. Approx.
300+ black and white prints, with a few colour mixed in. There are also some associated negatives. Sizes are varied but most are mid size 9" x 7", there are several larger. There are some good official BR photos all stamped on the reverse including some London Transport. Many date from the 1960's and there are 3 photos of track gangs in the 1940's. Some of the packets are labelled, including Defects in welds, on track flash welding France 1968, electro-slag welded vees, defects in cast manganese crossings, flat collar weld, fracture tough rail Hyndland (scr), long welded train 1968 (officials), Cadwell bonding 1976, flash butt welds etc.
