André Chapallaz (Basel, Switzerland) - a collection of terracotta carnival figures, each comical figure glazed in bright colours, playing instruments, mostly marked to underside "Original Chapallaz" and monogramed with 'A' to glaze, the tallest standing 14in. (35.5cm.) high (14). * The band master with broken finial to hat; one of the flute players missing candle to head, some with slight glaze chips etc, overall good.
