Edward the Confessor silver Penny, small flan type (1048-1053), London, Ægelric (S 1175, North 818, BMC II). Obverse: diademed and draped bust, 'EDPERD REX' around. Reverse: voided short cross with pellet in the centre, '+ ÆGELRIC ON LVN' around. Weight: 0.78g. Diameter: 14mm. Grade: aVF - about Very Fine, smallest of flan cracks, slightly uneven. Comes with an old ticket.
