Edward IV silver Groat, light coinage (1464/5-1470), London mint, crown mintmark (S 2000). Obverse: facing crowned bust within a tressure of arcs, quatrefoils at neck and no eyes in the legend which reads 'EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC' with a crown mintmark above. Reverse: long cross quartering two beaded circles, three pellets within each of the central angles, 'CIVITAS LONDON' in the centre and 'POSVI DEV ADIVTORE MEVM' around the edge. Weight: 2.98g. Diameter: 25mm. Grade: aVF - flan short on one quarter and slightly dished flattening to the nose area; otherwise about Very Fine.
