A 19th century French Louis XVI style ormolu mounted parquetry, mahogany secretaire à abbatant, with veined white marble inset top, frieze drawer, 'secret drawer' fronted with an urn and fall front decorated with Romans in a chariot, over two further long drawers, on squared feet, W.2ft 7.5in. D.1ft 4in. H.5ft

CONDITION: A little sunbleached but otherwise in good condition, marble to the top looks original, some light surface scratching, single key works all drawer locks, fall front encloses a later green skiver with has some light scuffing, secret drawer operates from a push button within the escritoire, drawer below the drop front has lift up baize topped supports to hold the fall front in place, comes with two spare keys, one section of timber loose from the right side of the bottom drawer but the piece is still present, left hand side also faded, other than the fading overall good condition.
