A Japanese Satsuma vase, Meiji, shouldered ovoid form on three legs, painted with two vignettes of woman and child in a landscape and parrot and basket of flowers, within relief moulded cartouches, on a ribbon band of chrysanthemums and winding stream, between plain borders of butterflies, the neck with geometric raised gilt and polychrome bands, apparently unsigned, 12cm high
