A 19th century hardwood Solomon Island / Tonga / Polynesian paddle club of tapering elongated spatulate form with hand woven decorative band on the handle. The flat sides with fine raised medial ridges. This Polynesian club being ceremonial, and also used in combat. Measurement approx. 110cm x 9cm at widest point.
