A WWI PAIR OF BRITISH WAR AND VICTORY MEDALS, named to 208945 Arthur E Troke, Able Seaman Royal Navy, Arthur Edward Troke, was born in December 1884 and was from Christchurch, Hampshire, he served in the RN from Hostilites and was aboard HMS Paragon, the night of 18th March 1917, when the ship was attacked in the straits of Dover by two German ships (SMS-S-49 and SMS-G-86), the ship was torpedoed and sank with the loss of all the crew, apart from Troke and one other survivor, the lot contains a vast amount of research, to the ships and action and a great collectors items
