Anglo-Saxon great square-headed brooch. Circa 6th century AD. Copper-alloy, 102mm x 65mm, 87.1g. Three quarters of the brooch survives with only the lower foot plate missing. The head of the brooch is decorated with a series of corded bands within the outer frame with an elliptical ear in each of the upper corners. The inner panel has the same corded bands that enclose a face mask. The bow has three plain prominent ridges that joins the head to the body of the brooch. On each side of the body is a circular panel detailed with a central boss within a double ringed border. At the centre is the stylised head of Wodan with a raven on each side.  Found near Navenby, Lincolnshire.
