A COLLECTION OF EUROPEAN DECORATIONS ATTRIBUTED TO KURT GRAF STRACHWITZ 1890 - 1961. An interesting collection of European awards and medals including a neck badge for the Portuguese Military Order of Christ, red and white enamel on silver gilt, 5.5 x 4 cm, breast badge for the same order with similar central cross against a white ground, 7 cm wide. 14 awards in total, stuck down in a modern display frame (lacking glass), 61 x 66 cm.
With a label to the reverse 'Decorations and Medals awarded to Kurt Graf Strachwitz 1890 - 1961'. These appears to be the son of Zdenko Karl, Count Strachwitz von Gross-Zauche und Camminetz and Elisabeth Hildegard, Baroness von Blittersdorff. Born on the 28th of February 1890 he married Bertha Trapp, Countess von Matsch, they had two children. He died on the 28th of November 1961 in Vienna, Austria.
Medals stuck down, two loose showing marking from adhesive used to mount the medals. Frame lacking glass.
