Blunderbuss made by Robert Tomlinson, gunsmith, Dublin. The Tomlinson firm commenced business as gun makers in 1782 and continued in the trade till 1805, after which date the name disappears from the Dublin Directory. The Blunderbuss was the favourite weapon of the Highway Man (eg Brennan of Kilworth Mountain fame.)
