EARLY 20TH CENTURY BRITISH LEGION INTEREST: - A LATE 20TH CENTURY DISPLAY CASE CONTAINING TEN OVAL VELVET MOUNTS APPLIED WITH HALLMARKED SILVER PRIZE PLAQUES FOR WHIST, CRIBBAGE, SNOOKER AND BILLIARDS, all relating to Derby Institutes Association / Allentown and District British Legion, dating from 1927 to 1933, the velvet applied with corresponding game symbols of miniature crossed snooker cues, billiard balls and enamelled playing cards, makers Miller Brothers, Chester 1928-1933, the ovals mounted into a frame with hinged base and perspex glazing, overall size of frame 77cm x 123.5cm, each oval mount approximately 27cm x 20cm (Condition Report: perspex is loose / removable from frame, silver is generally in good condition, some bending to the snooker cues, wear to the coloured paint on the snooker / billiard balls), Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
