A pair of English Gothic Revival illuminated leaves, mid-19th c, in the late Medieval taste, scrivened and illuminated with biblical verse and tableaux from Mathew II:11 and John V:24, the first monogrammed G.E.V. and dated 56, gouache and ink on parchment, picked-out in gilt, laid and tacked over boards, 22.2 x 16cm
Condition evidenced by images. The sheets with some wear and losses, including to polychrome decoration, but stable.
