A carved red stone finial from 17th-century Mughal India. This intricately designed architectural ornament features a lotus-shaped motif, a symbol of purity and divine beauty, which is prominent in Mughal art and architecture. At its centre, a circular medallion contains stylised floral patterns and delicate carvings.
