A late 19th Century German violin bears label L. Lowendall, Dresden, length 36cm, stamped 'Lowendall's Celebrated Conservatory Violin, Amati' to the back of the scroll, complete with bow and case, slight damage and both the violin and bow require re-stringing

Needs restringing.
2018 Ivory Act Licence application number C54SGT2K due to the ivory tip on the bow.
The spruce sound board is OK, but there is a small serpentine shaped crack to the bottom of the two-piece maple back and also a small crescent shaped crack towards the edge. There is also a small dent or bruise further up the back.
