An early 19th century 22 bore Scottish all steel flintlock belt pistol by MacLeod, 13" overall, barrel 7½" with slightly flared octagonal muzzle and B'ham proofs, the signed lock of "highland" type with horizontal scear and engraved with scrolls and fern tip border, the entire stock etched overall with thistles, scrolls and trophies (now worn and faint), with ramshorn butt, ball pricker and trigger, belt hook, (a replacement), and steel ramrod. GWO&C. A late example of the "highland" type lock. £1000-1200
