TWO VOLUMES OF EARLY 20TH 20th Century Ephemera, a Career Scrapbook of Henry Alexis Thomson (1863-1924) a celebrated Scottish anatomist and medical author, Professor of Systematic Surgery at the University of Edinburgh from 1909-1923 and honorary member of the French Association of Surgeons and of the American Society of Clinical Surgery, the one volume Scrapbook of 210 pages contains personal and professional letters, telegrams, photographs, social event ephemera and newspaper cuttings, the other album contains letters, postcards, photographs and signatures from prominent dignitaries of the era including Gerald Nabarro, Heathcote Amory, Lieut. Col. D.H.G James, George Cadbury, Elizabeth Cadbury, some of the letters are from Buckingham Palace or Downing Street and many pieces of correspondence have interesting Postmarks
