A rare late 18th century brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss with elliptical muzzle and spring bayonet, 31” overall, 2 stage barrel 15”, the octagonal breech with Tower private proofs, and with 13” spring bayonet released by thumb catch on the breech tang; signed flat stepped lock with swan neck cock and roller on frizzen spring; dark walnut fullstock, the brass mounts include engraved butt plate tang, trigger guard with acorn finial, flat side plate, and plain oval escutcheon; with old plain wooden ramrod.
