The Reverend Henry Houson (1789-1873) was born in Southwell, the son of the Reverend Henry Houson. He was ordained in 1811 and appointed curate of Oxton, Nottinghamshire the same year. He was appointed to the living of Brant Broughton in 1820 where he remained until his death in 1873
